How We Exceed State Standards with a Focus on Care

At In Home WellCare Academy, we’re not just aiming to meet Rhode Island’s CNA training requirements—we’re going above and beyond to ensure our future CNAs provide exceptional, compassionate care. As we work toward becoming a DOH-approved training program, we’re designing a program that sets a new benchmark for quality in healthcare education.

Surpassing the Minimum

Rhode Island requires CNA programs to include 120 hours of training, with at least 40 hours of clinical practice. We’re committed to exceeding these standards by:

• Extending training hours where needed to ensure mastery of skills, such as advanced patient communication and dementia care.

• Providing more clinical practice opportunities, giving trainees extra hands-on experience to build confidence and competence.

• Integrating technology, like interactive simulations, to enhance learning beyond traditional methods.

  
  

A Focus on Compassionate Care

Our program places a strong emphasis on compassionate care, teaching CNAs to:

• Prioritize patient emotional well-being, ensuring they feel supported during vulnerable moments.

• Go beyond tasks, focusing on building relationships with patients through empathy and understanding.

• Assess care satisfaction proactively, ensuring patients’ needs are met with the highest level of attention.
