Our Story
Where compassion became a calling.

In Home WellCare Academy was founded from something deeper than business, it was born from love, purpose, and a commitment to community. Before it was an academy, it was a belief: that care should feel like family, that training should uplift people, and that our neighbors in Rhode Island deserve caregivers who lead with both skill and heart.

This journey began with A Homely Care, a home care agency rooted in trust and compassion. Over the years, our team saw firsthand how much of a difference a well-prepared, emotionally intelligent caregiver can make. We also saw a growing need, not just for more caregivers, but for better training, more support, and pathways into this vital work.
So we began building something new.

In Home WellCare Academy is our next step forward. A space where compassion meets preparation. Where those who feel called to care can learn, grow, and lead. Our facility, located in the heart of Providence, sits close to hospitals, community centers, and the neighborhoods we aim to serve, because we believe care starts right here, at home.

We are currently pending approval from the Rhode Island Department of Health.
While our program is not yet enrolling, we are laying every foundation with integrity and intention.

Making a Difference, From the Inside Out

We know the challenges our communities are facing, aging populations, overworked systems, and a shortage of caregivers trained to lead with heart. But we also know this: real change starts with us.

At In Home WellCare Academy, we’re not just preparing caregivers, we’re helping reshape the future of care. By grounding our training in compassion, purpose, and cultural understanding, we are equipping people to serve in a way that honors the lives they touch.

We are proud to stand at the front lines of this moment, creating caregivers who aren’t just ready, but deeply called to make a difference.
Why This Matters Now

Rhode Island is changing, and the need for thoughtful, trained, compassionate caregivers is growing every day. Nearly one in five residents is over the age of 65, and that number is expected to rise dramatically in the coming years. But this isn’t just about numbers. It’s about people, about neighbors, families, and elders who deserve to age with dignity.

In Home WellCare Academy exists to meet this need from the inside out, through training that’s rooted in real-world preparation, community awareness, and cultural sensitivity. We’re building a new kind of care workforce, one where students leave not only qualified, but connected to a greater purpose.

We believe caregivers are not just workers, they are protectors, companions, and advocates. And when they’re equipped with both skill and heart, the care they provide has the power to transform lives.
